Huddersfield takes top spot Best University Workplace survey

We lead the way in the Best University Workplace survey carried out by the Times Higher Education magazine

The Times Higher Education magazine has today published an independent survey in which it canvassed university staff working at 150 institutions, the length and breadth of the country, compiling a huge amount of data.

The survey’s results are published in four key tables:

  • “I would recommend working at my university”
  • “The leadership of my university is performing well”
  • “My university offers a fair deal to its employees in terms of working conditions and benefits”
  • “My work responsibilities allow for a healthy work-life balance”

To be in the top 5 out of 150 in any category is a great achievement, to be in the top 5 in all four categories is outstanding, but to be in the number one spot in each of the four categories really is exceptional and that is what has been achieved by the University of Huddersfield.

This result makes me very proud indeed.  I know our staff regularly go the extra mile in supporting and encouraging you, and I am pleased that this latest excellent performance demonstrates that the University of Huddersfield is a very good place to be, for both staff and students.
