Huddersfield is ‘on top of its game’

We lead the way in the Best University Workplace survey carried out by the Times Higher Education magazine

The Times Higher Education magazine has today published an independent survey in which it canvassed university staff working at 150 institutions, the length and breadth of the country, compiling a huge amount of data.

The survey’s results are published in four key tables:

  • “I would recommend working at my university”
  • “The leadership of my university is performing well”
  • “My university offers a fair deal to its employees in terms of working conditions and benefits”
  • “My work responsibilities allow for a healthy work-life balance”

To be in the top 5 out of 150 in any category is a great achievement, to be in the top 5 in all four categories is outstanding, but to be in the number one spot in each of the four categories really is exceptional and that is what has been achieved by the University of Huddersfield.

This result makes me very proud indeed.  I’d like to thank everyone for making Huddersfield such a wonderful environment to work in.  This is the latest in a long line of successes, and I very much look forward to working with you to achieve even more.

Vice-Chancellor
