Applications now open for Enterprise Placement Year 2014/15

Tue, 14 Jan 2014 07:00:00 GMT

Work placements are an essential part of many courses, but the conventional route is not your only option. Instead of an internship or placement with an employer, why not think about setting up your own business or working for yourself?

You’ll get group and 1:1 business advice as well as weekly enterprise skills and networking sessions. You may be eligible to apply for a Proof of Concept grant of up to £500 to help prove that your business idea is a winner and benefit from all the business support facilities on offer in the Duke of York Young Entrepreneur Centre hot desk office space.

We'll work with you to help you make a success of your business. Following your placement year, you can apply for on-going support and access to our services for an additional year through our Enterprise Support programme.

If you fancy giving it a go, please contact your academic school’s Placement Office or Contact Us for more information.

The deadline for applications is Friday 11 April 2014.
