Lemn Sissay, MBE, is renowned as a poet and a playwright...
...his honours include an honorary doctorate from the University of Huddersfield, where he has also delivered inspirational guest lectures and backed a scholarship that enables gifted young people who were brought up in the care system to undertake PhD research.
Now his three-verse poem Let There Be Peace [Lemn recites the poem live on the day in the video below] has been inscribed on the University of Huddersfield’s Creative Arts Building, an architecturally-daring structure opened in 2006, after HM The Queen had laid the foundation stone.
