Kaffe Fassett talks about his career, his love for colour and why we shouldn't be afraid to use it to be creative

A prolific author and exhibitor, American-born Kaffe Fassett has been resident in England since the 1960s and is regarded as one of the most influential figures in his field.  His London studio – which he describes as “a playground for colour” – is renowned for its fabrics, needlepoint, mosaics, quilts, rugs, knitting and painting.

In 2015, Kaffe delivered a guest lecture at the University of Huddersfield and spent the day with some of the University's talented textile students.  You can view a news story of that day here.

Kaffe Fassett received the award of Honorary Doctorate of the University for services to textile design and craft at the 2016 July award ceremonies.
