Dame Emma Kirkby.....
...came to the University to perform at its inaugural HIP Happening, a mini-festival that explored a variety of historically-informed approaches to the performance of early music. Her concert, entitled English Lute Songs from the Golden Age, included students in the performance.
In this video, Dame Emma talks to Professor John Bryan about her singing, her interpretation, the songs of John Dowland and what the future holds.
