International Student Societies with flags ‌All this week and next everyone is welcome to come and say hello to the University's International Student Societies who will be based in Central Services Building Atrium/Foyer, outside the University library, between 12:00pm and 2:00pm daily.

The University currently has societies from more than 40 countries, including China, Nigeria, Latin America, Lithuania, India and Britain. Throughout the year the societies host many campus events and arrange trips around Yorkshire and the UK. Together they host the annual International Food and Culture Festival which takes place in March and October each year, with the next one taking place on 23 October in Café on 3rd and Level 4 of the Central Services Building.

Whatever country you are from, you are warmly invited to come and meet and get to know the students and find out what activities they have planned. It is also a great opportunity to learn a little more about their countries and cultures.

If you are a Facebook user you can like the society of your choice via the University web pages and if your own country is not represented and you would like to set up an international society, please contact us here for further information.
