The School of Computing and Engineering's Informatics Department hosted an exciting exhibition of digital media skills and talent at this year's IM10 Digital Media Showcase.

Focusing on the Interactive Multimedia BA(Hons) and Web Technologies BSc(Hons) courses, the show brought together digital media design and production with cutting edge interactive applications covering visual design/graphics, animation, type, video, sound, 3D, scripting/programming and authoring.

The event took place in the ground floor foyer of the Canalside West building and was attended by over 250 guests including students, family and friends and industry representatives. The food for the evening was sponsored by ID IQ Balti from Dewsbury.

Managers and affiliates from Servo, Kirklees Faith Forum, Kirklees Child Protection and Review Unit, Kirklees Law Centre, NHS, NHS and Kirklees Drug Interventions Programme, Specsavers, First Optical, UKIP, Batley Business and Enterprise Centre, Batley.TV, Al-Murad and ID IQ Balti Foods were amongst many to praise the work of our students and the support provided from tutors Ebrahim Akudi and John Bonner.

The events' website (http://im10.hud.ac.uk) will continue to be hosted until the end of the academic year and post-event photography and videos will be uploaded soon.

Special thanks goes to Ebrahim Akudi and John Bonner, as well as Rupert Ward, Sandra McCash, Kelly Jakeman, the Informatics Technician team, the Informatics Admin team, Jane Merrington, Mike Poole and all the staff that attended the event and supported its activities.
