Staff and research students from Logistics, Transport & Tourism presented at the 17th Annual Conference of the Logistics Research Network at Cranfield University and scooped two prestigious awards for research excellence.

The conference, which attracted leading academics and practitioners in logistics from around the world, had an Olympic inspired theme and was entitled “Go for Gold - Winning the Supply Chain Triathlon: Creating Social, Economic and Environmental Value”.

Huddersfield Transport and Logistics Management student Dean Starr won the annual award for best undergraduate dissertation with an innovative study on the application of postponement within Johnson & Johnson.  David Leach, Senior Lecturer, presented the results of a recent research project to the conference on the topic of high capacity vehicles and was delighted to be awarded the prize for best conference paper.
