Keynote address at Spanish Business Ethics Conference

Dean of the Business School and Director of FEGReG, Professor Chris Cowton, was invited to give a keynote address at the annual conference of the Spanish chapter of the European Business Ethics Network in Bilbao, at the University of the Basque Country on 23 June 2010. Chris' speech at the opening ceremony was entitled 'Restoring trust in the financial sector: the role of professions'.
The conference, the 'Scientific Committee' of which was chaired by FEGReG member Dr Leire San Jose, also featured keynote addresses by Professor Ed Freeman of the Darden School at the University of Virginia and Professor John Boatright of Loyola University Chicago. Professors Cowton (right), Freeman (left), and Boatright (centre) are pictured wearing the traditional Basque berets which were presented to them at the conference dinner.
