ICAC'11 a success

On the 10th of September, the University of Huddersfield’s School of Computing and Engineering successfully hosted the 17th International Conference on Automation and Computing. The event was opened up by the Pro Vice Chancellor for Research and Enterprise, Professor Andrew Ball and received more than 70 delegates from academia, industry, and government bodies. Delegates came from far and wide; from countries such as China, India, Switzerland, Romania, Iran and across the UK.
The conference was sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) with its proceedings being published by IEEE Xplorer. Dr Xun Chen from the Department of Engineering and Technology and Dr. Zhijie Xu from the Department of Informatics have served as the Chair and Co-Chair for the conference.
