Women in the Hud (WITH) forthcoming events

The WITH team have been busy planning a calendar of events for the rest of the year. Here are some of the highlights:
June:
Badminton Club starts Monday 17 June for a regular weekly lunchtime session from 12.00noon to 1.00pm in the Sports Hall. Just turn up and play.
Networking Lunch on Wednesday 26 June in the Researcher Hub from 12.00noon to 2.00pm – bring along your lunch and enjoy an informal, fun and idea generating lunch with other members of staff.
Blogging It on Wednesday 19 June – this workshop from 12.30pm to 2.00pm introduces the idea of blogging and what it can do for you.
The First Women’s Online Leadership Conference – 17 to 21 June. This online conference is exclusively for women, designed to give women the encouragement, confidence and inspiration to make a difference in their careers. For full details of all the speakers visit: Leadership Conference
The Gender Agenda on Friday 28 June – a presentation on what is happening at the University in terms of gender equality from 4.30pm to 6.00pm in the George Buckley Lecture Theatre.
July:
Networking Lunch on Wednesday 10 July in the Researcher Hub from 12.00noon to 2.00pm.
Film Night showing Connected on Thursday 18 July from 6.00pm to 8.00pm – an hour length film about how social media works in our lives and its power to transform. What you thought you knew about social media will be transcended! Pre-booking required by emailing d.coburn@hud.ac.uk
Writing your CV workshop on Wednesday 31 July from 12.00noon to 2.00pm in the Researcher Hub.
August:
Networking Lunch on Wednesday 7 August from 12.00noon to 2.00pm in the Researcher Hub.
BBQ on Friday 23 August from 4.30pm to 6.00pm on the grassy area outside the Researcher Hub. Bring along a dish and enjoy a BBQ in the sunshine (hopefully).
September:
Charity Lunch on Wednesday 11 September from 12.00noon to 2.00pm – cream tea networking lunch in the Researcher Hub.
Frocks and Docs on Saturday 1 September from 10.00am until whenever! This charity walk along the canal bank starts from the Students’ Union. In aid of the Brain Tumour Foundation everyone is encouraged to take part and dress up in a frock with docs, crocs or pumps. For more details email: d.coburn@hud.ac.uk
October:
Networking Lunch on Wednesday 9 October from 12.00noon to 2.00pm in the Researcher Hub.
November:
Networking Lunch on Wednesday 6 November from 12.00noon to 2.00pm in the Researcher Hub.
Old School Prom Night on Saturday 9 November from 7.00pm until late in the Sports Hall. Remember Grease and Dirty Dancing? Well this is your chance to enjoy something along similar lines. Celebrate all the memories in the old Sports Hall and raise money for the Prince’s Trust.
