Whitehill ‘Diamond Dash’ visits the University of Huddersfield

To celebrate 60 years of schooling at Whitehill Community Academy, a sixty mile walk is taking place, connecting the school with the sites of all the Trust Partners.

The event starts at 5pm on the night of Wednesday July 24th and ends when the last group of walkers arrive back at the school in the early afternoon of the following day, during the end of term festivities. The route is broken down in to stages of around 5 miles each, with different groups of walkers covering each stage, representing staff, governors and parents in all and children in the first and last stages.

The Diamond Dash is being used to raise funds for the following;

-  Funds for playground development at the school

-  Barnardo’s, one of the Trust Partners

-  Help the Heroes

The route takes in some of the following locations; Moorlands, Five Flags Junction, Guiseley, Yorkshire Cricket Club and Huddersfield Town Football Club. The walk includes a stop at the University of Huddersfield early on the morning of Thursday 25th July.  Details can be found on the Whitehill website.
