University Graduate Internship Scheme

Thu, 19 Sep 2013 15:49:00 BST

Our Careers and Employability Service are launching the next cycle of the University’s Graduate Internship Scheme and are now ready to receive expressions of interest from departments and services.

This will be the third time the scheme has run, giving you another opportunity to bring a recent graduate into your team for a 12 week paid internship.

Interest in the scheme from across the university has grown with each cohort, so if you would like to bring new graduate talent and a fresh perspective to the work of your team, whilst at the same time providing invaluable early career experience to one of our own graduates, then please let us know as soon as possible.

Key Information:

  • 12 week full-time paid internships – linked to a graduate-track and/or a project-based role. We can advise you on this and show you previous examples.
  • The scheme is ring-fenced to 2013 University of Huddersfield graduates only.
  • Cost to school/service per intern = £4,000 (as many interns as required can be recruited).
  • The Careers and Employability Service will arrange advertising and attraction; support the selection process; provide a career guidance programme for the intern throughout and produce a final evaluation report.

All expressions of interests should be made to Zoe Mitton by Friday 4 October with a job description / person specification. Start dates are anticipated to be in January 2014.

If you would like to discuss the detail of the scheme further, please contact Zoë Mitton z.mitton@hud.ac.uk or call 2382.
