In November 2010 a film crew visited the University to film a short piece for BBC3. The presenter of the show was Julia Bradbury, famous for her work on Countryfile and similar programmes. Dr Laura Waters from the School of Applied Sciences took the team through the process of converting lanolin from wool into a moisturiser similar to those found on the high street, Laura said "Filming was great fun, I was amazed how fast the day went".
After several hours of filming the crew left with plenty of footage, some of which was used in the show ‘Kill It, Cut It, Use It’, aired in June 2011 on BBC3.
