Edited by Neil Denby, this second edition of this valuable resource will be published soon. The book is ‘essential reading for professional studies modules of primary and secondary initial teaching courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Updating the first edition, which was called ‘How to Achieve Your QTS’, it is for people training to teach in primary and secondary schools. It aims to help them start to teach with confidence. The new edition has increased coverage of primary education and has new chapters on child protection and teaching those with English as an Additional Language, cross-curricular teaching.
There continues to be a website to accompany the book which holds useful materials.
Staff who have contributed to the book include Bob Butroyd, Fiona Woodhouse, Jonathan Glazzard, Lesley-Anne Pearson, Jayne Price and Roger Crawford.
