Primary and secondary schools in the University of Huddersfield partnership came together to receive recognition for their work with, and in support to, the School of Education and Professional Development this week.

Each school was presented with a plaque to mark this recognition. As Lesley-Anne Pearson, Course Leader for the Secondary School teacher training PGCE said, ‘We really value their support and wanted to show how much we appreciated their hard work and the efforts they put into making excellent teachers of the future. We have worked with many of them for a long time and their expertise is invaluable. The government is currently promoting partnerships and we felt that this was a good way to celebrate our links’

The partnership is a group of schools who provide placements for our teacher training students. For PGCE they complete up to 120 days practice in the one year of their course, for the BA Primary they complete the days over the three years of the course.

The schools were presented with their plaques by Professor Christine Jarvis, Dean of the School of Education and Professional Development.
