Enterprising spirit and overseas growth claims Queen’s Awards
THE University of Huddersfield has received two prestigious Queen’s Awards – one for its work in encouraging enterprise and one for its success in attracting thousands of international students.
Liz Towns-Andrews, who is the University’s 3M Professor of Innovation, is one of just ten recipients of this year’s Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion. Professor Towns-Andrews played a central role in developing the University’s reputation as the most entrepreneurial in the UK. Full story here...
The University also received a Queen’s Award for Enterprise, in the International Trade category. This is bestowed on organisations which have achieved substantial growth in overseas activities. Since 2008, the University of Huddersfield has formed many international partnerships and seen its international student population triple in size. Full story here…
