PGCE Design and Technology End of Year Show - June 2011

In the first term of the PGCE the students studying on the Secondary Design Technology course complete their own practical projects utilising a range of resistant materials, including wood, metal and plastic. They design innovative artefacts whilst working within set size parameters. This hands-on experience is used to allow them to experience school projects for themselves and to allow them to devise units of work, lesson plans and projects to be delivered to children and young people in the secondary school setting.
The PGCE Design and Technology course culminates in an end of year show. Following an intensive year of study and two school placements the PGCE students display a range of outcomes including a comprehensive range of resources and projects completed with children and young people whilst on school placement.
