As part of the University's week of Awards Ceremonies, graduates from the School of Applied Sciences took part in a procession through the town centre to celebrate their achievements.

Huddersfield enjoyed glorious sunshine as the Procession made its way around the town centre, with many people stopping to watch.

Starting from Nelson Mandela Corner, behind the Public Library, the Procession walked along Victoria Lane and New Street before passing the Town Hall on their way to St Paul's Hall on the main Queensgate Campus where the Awards Ceremony would take place.

The procession was led by the bearers of the University's flag and ceremonial staff and mace, followed by Skelmanthorpe Band, University and civic dignatories and honorary graduands.  Students receiving BSc, MSci and MSc awards followed, then PhD graduates and members of staff from the School.

We congratulate all of our graduands and wish them good luck for the next step in their careers.
