The Hackathon took place during the 5th International Workshop “When Social Science Meets Lean & BIM”, organised by the University College Northern Denmark, on 25th January 2017 in Aalborg, Denmark. The participants had to solve a management problem proposed by the company Saint-Gobain using Lean and BIM solutions. During one day, five teams composed of students, lecturers and professionals developed different solutions, such as concepts, methods and software applications. The winning team, where our PhD researcher Clarissa Biotto participated, proposed a new process flow for the company that would use BIM models of their products and Collaborative Planning with their clients in order to reduce waste and improve the workflow.
