Northern Rail industrial action

Rail services operated by Northern are likely to be significantly affected by industrial action on Monday 13 March 2017.
The 24-hour planned strike runs from midnight Sunday 12 March to midnight Monday 13 March.
Most Northern services are not expected to run – a limited service will operate on some routes, but these services are expected to be very busy. For updates and more information please visit https://www.northernrailway.co.uk/industrial-action.
Train services operated by TransPennine Express, CrossCountry, Grand Central Virgin Trains and East Midlands Trains are not affected by the industrial action but are likely to be busier than normal. There will also be extra passengers on buses, and additional traffic on the roads as a result, so morning and evening peaks are expected to last longer. Please advise staff to allow plenty of time for their journey and plan ahead.
