Article 50 triggered
Wed, 29 Mar 2017 15:24:00 BST
Following the UK Government action today to invoke Article 50, we would like to take this opportunity to reassure European colleagues that you are valued by the University of Huddersfield.
During the transition period the UK remains a member of the EU and European colleagues retain the right to remain under the current arrangements. The University is working hard to clarify the long term position and updates will be given as the details become available.
We are also working closely with our colleagues from the The Law School to develop fact sheets and provide access to drop in sessions - we will provide more information about this as it becomes available.
If you have not already done so and you wish to apply for documentation confirming your status in the UK, there are a number of options available to you, which include making an application for a Residence Certificate, Permanent Residence Certificate or Permanent Residence. If you have any queries about these options and would like further support with completing applications, please contact your HR Officer who will be happy to help.
