Business Professor wins ‘exceptional contribution’ award

The Professor of Corporate Communication at the Business School was presented with the award at the annual award ceremony, The Grande Primio, which took place in Portugal this November.
Anne has supported the development of the public relations profession in Portugal for 10 years. Her involvement includes teaching on the Master’s Course at Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics and speaking worldwide at APCE events.
For the last 6 years, Anne has been on the Board of the Global Alliance (Chair) of Public Relations and Communication Management; the confederation of public relations associations around the world. Her role with the board has been to work towards a common vision for the profession globally.
Along with Principal Research Fellow, Dr Johanna Fawkes and Research Fellow, Dr Elizabeth Montoya Martinez are leading an international research project on capabilities in the profession involving academics from 6 continents. The project has been funded by the University of Huddersfield Research Fund and will bring enormous recognition and prestige to the university.
