The final year marketing students, taking the Creative Brand Management module, have the opportunity to work in conjunction with L’Oreal to create a brief for the L’Oreal Brandstorm international marketing competition. Huddersfield Business School has entered the competition for the past six years working  on the L’Oreal brands such as Body Shop, Lancôme and La Roche-Posay, giving students the opportunity to present to the brand experts in London and if successful, jet off to Paris for an experience of a lifetime at the world finals.

This year we have two teams through to the National Finals out of the eight in the final at L’Oreal HQ in London in April.

Brad Sewell from team Hybris commented “I am really excited. It’s such a fantastic opportunity to be working with L’Oreal, the industry professionals. Being one of the two teams out of the eight to make it to the national final in London is such an achievement.”

The 2017 challenge, in partnership with L’Oreal Men Expert, is to ‘disrupt men’s grooming with life-changing innovation.’ The teams were briefed to create a fully innovative branded product for the L’Oreal Men Expert portfolio targeting millennials.

If the teams are successful they could be competing at the world finals, held in Paris in June, against teams from other countries, with the winners winning 10,000 euros!
