Huddersfield Jazz proudly presents a unique opportunity to experience the Switzerland based Jazz trio Vein. Staff can join the event on Saturday 29 April at The Jazz Room, Heritage Quay from 7.30pm to 10.30pm.
This will be the first time a Switzerland based Jazz band has ever performed in Huddersfield.
Biography:
As in most jazz piano trios today, the members of Vein are deeply attached to interplay between the instruments although, inevitably, it is pianist Michael Arbenz who plays the part of leader of the group.
Vein’s interplay aims to achieve the greatest possible balance of their three individual voices: starting with the way they work out their own compositions and arrangements, right through to the soloistic parts, assigned to each of them.
The result is a stupendous musical togetherness, packed with surprising melodic, rhythmic and dynamic turns, played with the highest precision even in the most complex passages of their compositions.

How to book:
The event is open to members of the public, staff and students. Tickets for members of the public and staff cost £14 and students get a special concession of £5. Tickets are available from the iPoint reception during opening hours.
