Bishop of Huddersfield to deliver lecture

Bishop Jonathan Gibbs, Bishop of Huddersfield, is the latest high profile figure to become a visiting professor at the University of Huddersfield.
Bishop Jonathan will deliver his inaugural lecture on Thursday 18 May 2017 at 6.30pm. The lecture, ‘What on earth are we here for? A theology of work for today’s world’ – will look at the many challenges we face today from global warming to the prospect of increasing automation putting huge numbers of people out of work. This lecture will seek to explore these issues from the perspective of the Christian faith.
The lecture commences at 6.30pm, with refreshments served from 6.00pm, in the Bronte Lecture Theatres, BL1/03 at the University.
