Thinking about your journey home from work already, or how you’ll get to the shops or the footie this weekend? Have your say on the future of transport in West Yorkshire – visit the Your Travel Your Say stand on campus on Monday 10 October from 11.00am to 2.00pm in the Schwann Building Atrium.

The drop-in session is part of a transport consultation by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) and your feedback will be used to develop a 20 year vision for a transport network in Huddersfield and West Yorkshire. In particular the aim is to create an integrated transport network that supports growth and development of housing and jobs as well as considering the impact of transport on air quality and health inequalities. The WYCA is also seeking views on a Bus Strategy to improve the region’s bus network.

How do I take part?

The consultation is open until Friday 21 October 2016 – to take part:

  1. Visit the drop-in session on campus on Monday 10 October (details above)
  2. Check-in at one of the other sessions in West Yorkshire
  3. Complete the online survey at the Your Travel Your Say website

We encourage everyone to share their feedback so that the voice of the University staff and students is heard in this consultation. For more information visit Your Travel Your Say or contact the Sustainability Team at sustainability@hud.ac.uk
