Sally Wainwright, award winning dramatist will be discussing her life and career and her latest projects at the The Sound.Vision.Place event on Wednesday 9 November for the annual JB Priestley Lecture.
On the event there will be film extracts of key works including a sneak preview of "To Walk Invisible", for which Sally has taken up the reins as both writer and director. It stars Chloe Pirrie, Finn Atkins and Charlie Murphy as the sisters exploring the hard-hitting subjects of alcoholism and drug addiction, and how it affected their relationship with their brother.
The Sound.Vision.Place event brings together the bicentenary of Charlotte Brontë’s birth, the renaming of the Brontë Lecture Theatres at the University, and the creative writing division's own Brontë Stones project.
The event takes place on Wednesday 9 November at 7.00pm, in the Diamond Jubilee Lecture Theatre.
