International research collaboration on transgender citizenship

Professor Surya Monro and several colleagues from other Universities in countries including Belgium, Hungary, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain and the UK are collaborating to produce a Special Edition of the journal Critical Social Policy, about Transgender Citizenship in Europe.
As a spin-off from this collaboration, Professor Monro and her Norwegian colleague Dr Janneke van der Ros organised a panel about Transgender Politics at the 24th International Political Science Association (IPSA) World Congress of Political Science at Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznan in July 2016. Their paper was titled 'Non-Binaried Genders: Citizenship and the State in Norway.’
