The University of Leeds has reserved 50 places for University of Huddersfield students at their “Careers with Global Organisations” talk with visiting speakers from the United Nations, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Department for International Development.
The talks are open to students of all disciplines and all levels from first year undergraduates to post-graduate researchers. The event takes place on Thursday 17 November from 5.00pm to 8.15pm in the Conference Auditoria at the University of Leeds.
The speakers will talk about the organisations they represent, some of the typical roles they have and what they entail. They will also talk about the experiences you need to cultivate and the skills you need to hone to compete successfully should you aspire to have a career with them.
There will also be the opportunity to hear from recent graduates who have worked for these organisations including our very own University of Huddersfield graduate, Jonathan Stephen, and his experience on the UN's Merit 360 programme.
