Do you have a University owned Laptop?
The newly revised IT Security Policy requires that all University owned laptops used for carrying or accessing sensitive or confidential information must have encryption software installed on them.
CLS have been running a project (in conjunction with school technical staff) to recall laptops that were purchased before April 2015.
If you have a University owned laptop that has not yet been encrypted, please contact it.deployment@hud.ac.uk (x1041) to arrange a date and time for installation.
Please note: If you have already made arrangements with your local technical staff to have the software installed, you do not need to make direct arrangements with the deployment team.
All new laptops have encryption installed as part of the standard IT hardware deployment process.
