After graduating from the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) course last year, Tim Rogers has returned to the classroom in a new role as Part Time Lecturer on the renowned ‘Huddersfield MBA’.

Tim, who currently works as UK Financial Controller for Cape plc, explains how the role reversal came about, “Through the years Cape have sponsored MBA qualifications for a number of their employees and when the company I originally worked for was acquired by Cape, I was lucky enough to receive this benefit. In early 2015 I was awarded an MBA with distinction, and one of the lecturers suggested I register to do some part time lecturing, as with a finance background I would be able to bring real practical experiences to the Finance module”.

The MBA, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary of being taught at the Business School, is the most prestigious and globally recognised academic qualification for management professionals. On his special relationship with the course, Tim said, “The Huddersfield MBA programme is extremely challenging but ultimately rewarding. The staff in the Business School are first class, and to be asked back to carry out a teaching assignment was a chance to give something back in to the University. I am also thankful for Cape’s support in this”.

Cape operates in the energy and natural resources sectors providing a range of services including access, insulation, coatings, storage tanks construction and repair, and environmental services among others. Tim adds, “Having been working for Cape for over 5 years now, I couldn’t praise them enough as an employer that invests highly on their people”.
