Notification of Industrial Action by the UCU

Thu, 12 May 2016 10:30:00 BST

Dear Students

On Wednesday 25 May and Thursday 26 May, the UCU will be taking two days’ strike action as part of the union’s national pay campaign.  This may affect the availability of some academic and research staff on that day.

Staff will try to avoid unnecessary disruption, and we will try to ensure that you will be notified in advance of any cancellations to lectures, tutorials, meetings etc that affect you directly.  We hope to keep any disruption to a minimum.  I am confident that all staff and students will work together to manage any local difficulties that may arise.

We are in contact with the Students’ Union to discuss any concerns that students might have and to ensure that positive relationships between staff and students are maintained.

If you have any concerns please contact the Students’ Union in the first instance.

Professor Bob Cryan

Vice Chancellor
