Bookings for this year’s Support Staff Conference will close on Tuesday 22 March at 1pm.

The conference will take place on Thursday 24 March, from 8.30am to 5.00pm

About the event

This annual conference is open to all support staff including service, school, technical and administration departments. The day enables you to attend a variety of educational and recreational workshops, share ideas and meet new people from across the University.

About the keynote speaker

This year’s keynote speaker is novelist and author Joanne Harris (MBE) known for notable works such as the award winning Chocolat, Runelight & Blackberry Wine. Joanne studied Modern and Medieval Languages at Cambridge and was a teacher for fifteen years. Since then, she has written 15 more novels, two collections of short stories and three cookbooks. Her books are now published in over 50 countries and have won a number of British and international awards. Joanne also has an honorary doctorate in literature from the University of Huddersfield.
