IM16 Annual Informatics Showcase

The School of Computing and Engineering would like to invite you to the IM16 Annual Informatics Showcase which takes place on Thursday 21 April from 6.30pm to 8.45pm in Quayside (Central Services Building).

Focusing on the undergraduate Interactive Multimedia BA(Hons), Web Design BSc(Hons) and Web Technologies BSc(Hons) courses, the IM16 Annual Informatics Showcase draws together an exciting cluster of student skills and abilities withindigital media design, development and production.

Whilst providing you with an opportunity to interact with a range of exciting and diverse student projects, exhibits will consist of cutting edge interactive online/offline applications, product presentations, performances, interactive installations and poster demonstrations that cover:

  • Website design and development
  • Mobile application design and development
  • UX and UI design and development – including interface and interaction design
  • Visual design including graphic and print based design
  • Digital animation and video including motion effects and animation
  • Typographic, Sound and 3D treatments
  • Scripting, programming and authoring

Whether you're friends, family, a local business/industry representative wanting to extend your knowledge of the digital sector or school pupils and college students wanting to get an insight into the industry, join us in celebrating our achievements.

The IM16 Annual Informatics Showcase is a FREE event open to all, providing:

  • Free campus parking from 6.00pm onwards
  • Free food and refreshments throughout the event
  • Networking, a chance to meet staff, students and industry guests, professionals and representatives
