Annual series of Lent Talks
Tue, 23 Feb 2016 01:50:00 GMT
Huddersfield Parish Church and the University of Huddersfield have partnered to deliver a series of Lent Talks, to engage our local community in a very real sense with current issues affecting the church and wider society.
The talks take place on Wednesdays during Lent, and the full programme is below. All talks begin at the University at 2.15pm, please arrive for 2.00pm.
Speakers include Bishop Tom Butler who is a regular contributor to Radio 4’s ‘Though for the Day’, and Stuart Townend who co-wrote one of the most popular modern worship songs, ‘In Christ Alone’ (a song which has stirred some debate with its Calvinistic theology).
The events are free of charge however registering attendance is required here: https://lenttalks.eventbrite.co.uk
