ESPREssO project activities were disseminated to the General Public of Huddersfield and Yorkshire, UK.

On Friday 30th September 2016, the University of Huddersfield hosted the European Researchers’ Night – a Europe wide free event giving the general public a unique opportunity to experience the real face of researchers.

“Full STEAM ahead” was the theme for the event and it celebrated the exciting and varied research taking place at the University. Accordingly, Global Disaster Resilience Centre of the University of Huddersfield, Espresso UK partner disseminated the ESPREssO project activities to the general public. A poster was presented, particularly focusing challenges associated with Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation.

In addition, a video documentary was hosted on the project activities carried out by the GDRC.

This was a pleasant and exciting event for the general public in Huddersfield and Yorkshire to experience EU research and its impact on the wider society.
