Evidence from BCS70, LFS, HESA and other datasets with UK data on degree classification suggests that there is a significant and substantial earnings premium associated with the class of degree awarded to the graduate. But is this evidence of labour market signalling? Or does it arise from the omission of relevant variables, such as the student's grade point average? We examine data for a specific HEI in order to address this question using a regression discontinuity framework.

All staff and students welcome
