IT Storage Issues have now been resolved

The storage access issues encountered on Thursday 7 April have been resolved. Staff and students should now be able to access their storage drives such as K, L and M. A fix was in place around 5.45pm on Thursday, however Computing and Library Services have been monitoring the service to ensure it was stable and there were no further reports of the problem.
The problem related to a combination of issues highlighted during the upgrade of one of the staff/student login authentication servers. With support and advice from our storage partner Dell, a workaround has been put in place. Please note, additional work may be needed to apply a longer term fix to this problem.
In the meantime any new reports of issues related to NAS storage should be treated as a new incident and reported to IT Support.
