SciFest Yorkshire 2015

SciFest Yorkshire 2015 is a brand new science fiction festival organised by Kirklees Libraries, Kirklees Museums and Galleries, and the University of Huddersfield.

All staff and students are welcome to join the festival and take part in exciting activities such as ‘hands on’ sci-fi themed workshops, author talks and book discussions, competitions, shows and many more creative events. Many of the activities are free and refreshments may be included.

The festival is held from Friday 23 October to Sunday 1 November 2015 across various venues in Kirklees.

Film enthusiasts have the opportunity to attend various screenings of sci-fi classics and cosplayers can have a costume trail around the People’s Show of Sci-Fi based at the Tolson Memorial Museum.

Other activities include lecture talks on campus, creative writing and manga drawing workshops and the SciFest Launch event.
