International Food and Culture Festival

All students and staff are welcome to join one of the biggest free events on campus and experience food, culture, dancing, games and lots of fun.

The International Food and Culture Festival takes place tomorrow Wednesday 4 November from 12.00pm to 3.00pm in Quayside (level 2, Central Services Building).

Sponsored by the International Office, this festival has evolved to be one of the biggest and most anticipated events on campus each year. Hosted by the University's international student societies, the festival showcases the very best international culture and cuisine.

Students host their own tables of food from around the world and also perform on stage with songs, dance, games, fashion and instruments. It is a great opportunity to get to know other people and make new friends. You will also have the opportunity to speak with students from many different countries and ask them about their food, culture and languages.

There will be food tables from a wide range of countries including: Taiwan, Poland, Ghana, Kuwait, UAE, Vietnam, Morocco, Nigeria, The Baltic's, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Syria, Philippines, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Germany, Libya, Japan, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, Kurdistan, Bulgaria, Malaysia, France, Myanmar, India, China, Romania , Qatar, Omani, Russia and East African.

Performances confirmed include: France, Nigeria, Philippines, Salsa, Bellydancers, Morocco, Vietnam, The Baltic's, India, Cyprus, Greece, Jordan, UK popping and Bangladesh.

The event is FREE and is sponsored by the University’s International Office.
