Enterprise Week

Monday 16 to Friday 20 November is Student Enterprise Week. But what exactly is enterprise, and how can you get involved?

Student Enterprise Week is being run by the Enterprise Team, Huddersfield Enterprise Society  and the Students’ Union and is a programme of enterprising opportunities including pitching, presentation skills, placements and a Social Storm 24-hour hackathon challenge.

It’s also Global Entrepreneurship Week, so you can join in with people all over the world who are looking to start or improve their own enterprise. There are loads of great, fun, skill-building events on, so if you’ve ever thought about running your own business (or even if you haven’t) get involved throughout the week.

Here is the full programme of Student Enterprise Week events

The Enterprise Team supports current students and graduates (up to five years) who are interested in self-employment, freelancing and business start-up and can provide:

  • One-to-one advice and support from our team of experienced Business Advisors
  • Access to office facilities in the Duke of York Young Entrepreneur Centre
  • Weekly programme of enterprising events during the Autumn and Spring terms
  • The opportunity to apply for funding and grants to develop your business
  • Business information, resources and templates
