Students Union The Students’ Union is launching their annual Student Staff recruitment drive and have over 30 opportunities available for students to join their team and earn some money around their studies.

Huddersfield Students’ Union is a dynamic, fast paced, student-led organisation that represents all students at the University of Huddersfield.

They run a variety of services for students including sports, societies, campaigning, volunteering, representation, as well as a high profile Advice Centre and shop.

One of their current student graphic designers, Natasha Lee, has had the opportunity to work on projects as diverse as Freshers’ Festival and Varsity.  “I love coming into work as there’s always something going on and it’s great fun. Having the chance to work on large scale events and get your work seen by thousands of students is amazing and has helped expand my portfolio.”

So what do you need to join the team?

For a start you'll have bags of ambition, drive and the determination to get things done. But more than anything, you'll have the energy and desire to go that extra mile to help make student life better.

If that sounds like you then check out all the opportunities they have available on their dedicated jobs page.

For some of the roles such as graphic design and photography you’ll need to show examples of your work in the form of a portfolio so make sure to include them when applying – you don’t want to miss out because you forgot an attachment.

Should you wish to have an informal chat about any of the opportunities please contact Lucy Wardill, HR & Admin Executive on l.wardill@hud.ac.uk or 01484 473436.

Applications close at 9.00am on Monday 13 April.
