Call for participants in international workshop on the 'Development of disaster resilient coastal communities to enhance economic development and social welfare'

Indonesia coordinator: Dr Harkunti Rahayu (Institute of Technology Bandung, Indonesia)

Under the Researcher Links scheme offered within the Newton Fund, the British Council and Researcher Links scheme will be holding a workshop on the above theme in Bandung, Indonesia from 28th October to 1st November 2015. The workshop is being jointly organised by the Global Disaster Resilience Centre, University of Huddersfield, UK, and the Institute of Technology Bandung, Indonesia. The workshop is also being held in association with the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO Indian Ocean Tsunami Warning System.

We are now inviting Early Career Researchers from the UK or Indonesia to apply to attend this workshop. All travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the Newton Researcher Links programme.
