Mon, 08 Jun 2015 02:00:00 BST

Julie Maxton Succeeding in STEMM takes place on Monday 21 September in the 3M Buckley Innovation Centre.

This half-day symposium looks at the successful pursuit of a high-level career in the competitive, sometimes gender-imbalanced, academic environment. Four highly successful individuals will share their views on the value of inclusive and supportive academic workplaces and will discuss the characteristics which distinguish successful STEMM professionals.

This event is suitable for a wide audience from a range of disciplines and at any stage in their career, but will be particularly useful for Early Career Researchers (ECRs). Postgraduates may wish to bring a poster detailing their research, and there will be prizes awarded.

This event is free, but places are limited so please register in advance.  You can find details of the full programme and regsiter here: Succeeding in STEMM

Please notify the organiser: g.sweeney@hud.ac.uk if you wish to bring a poster, or if you have specific dietary requirements.

This event is generously funded by EPSRC, The Daphne Jackson Trust, the Royal Society of Chemistry and the University of Huddersfield.
