Heritage Quay If you are looking for interesting volunteering opportunities Heritage Quay could have the answer.  Throughout the month of June they are recruiting for Collections Volunteers and Participation and Engagement Volunteers.

The Collections volunteers will support archives staff in the delivery of the Heritage Quay collections development programme.  The role will involve describing, cataloguing, arranging, researching and re-packaging archival materials from the University’s unique collections.  Volunteers will have the opportunity to apply to work on specific projects with collections that peak their interest, such as local history, rugby league and contemporary music.

The Participation and Engagements volunteers will support archives staff in the delivery of the Heritage Quay engagement programme.  This may include helping to plan and deliver workshops, events and activities with schools, adult learners and families both at Heritage Quay and outside.  The sessions may engage group or members of the public in a range of settings.

Full training and guidance will be given to all volunteers.
