A century after it was written, the Freud Museum has invited artists, designers, writers and performers to revisit Freud's seminal paper The Unconscious (1915). The Museum is staging a celebratory Festival of the Unconscious - 'The Unconscious Revisited' exhibition, with writings, objects and artistic works offering insights into unconscious experience.

One of the contributions to this exhibition is a collaborative piece featuring the work of University of Huddersfield composer Monty Adkins and the Brass Art collaborative artists. The piece is entitled 'The Dream Collector', and is a 5-channel synched video and sound installation filmed in Mexico City by Melanie Manchot, and realised by Brass Art (a collaboration between artists from the University, Manchester Metropolitan University and Edinburgh University), with the music of Monty Adkins, together with input from Art, Design and Architecture key practitioner Anneke Pettican.

You can read more about the installation and the exhibition as a whole on the Freud Museum website.
