The Thank You Awards offer our students the chance to thank a member of University or Students’ Union staff for making a significant positive impact on their time as a student at the University of Huddersfield. Last year over 700 of our students put forward an individual for an award which makes these student-led awards some of the biggest in the country. This is the final week for students to make their nominations.  Nominations are open until Friday 20 February 2015. To submit a nomination, please advise students to visit http://www.huddersfield.su/thankyou

Please encourage your students to take part in this year’s Thank You Awards by nominating a member(s) of staff.

Students can nominate as many members of staff as they wish.  It could be a lecturer who goes that extra mile with their teaching, inspiring students to work that little bit harder or a member of our support staff who mentors and encourages them when things get tough. Or perhaps a course leader, who designs modules that challenge the way they see the world.

We should never underestimate the positive impact that inspirational teaching, exceptional feedback and excellent student support have, which is why the Thank You Awards are so important. A partnership between the Students’ Union and the Teaching and Learning Institute, they give our students the chance to nominate staff to be recognised for this hard work.

This year we’ve decided to use no set categories, with all awards being decided once the nominations have been received – judged by a panel of Course Reps, Students’ Union Officers and University staff.

Please note if their nominee is shortlisted, students will be invited to attend a celebration event on the evening of Monday 27 April 2015. A member of the Thank You Awards Team will let them know by Monday 30 March 2015.  If they have queries they can email: tali@hud.ac.uk
