Thank You Awards 2015

It’s that time of year again! The Thank You Awards are your chance to thank a member of University or Students’ Union staff for making a significant positive impact on your time as a student here at the University.
The awards are completely student-led, with students involved at every stage, from submitting nominations to judging the entries. This is your last week to make your nomination(s). Nominations are open until Friday 20 February 2015 – you may nominate as many members of staff as you wish. To submit a nomination, please visit http://www.huddersfield.su/thankyou
We all know people at the University of Huddersfield who’ve helped make our time here so special. Lecturers who go that extra mile with their teaching, inspiring us to work that little bit harder, support staff who mentor and encourage us when things get tough. Or course leaders, who design modules that challenge the way we see the world.
We should never underestimate the positive impact that inspirational teaching, exceptional feedback and excellent student support have, which is why the Thank You Awards are so important. A partnership between the Students’ Union and the Teaching and Learning Institute, they give you the chance to nominate staff to be recognised for this hard work. Last year over 700 students put forward an individual - which makes these student-led awards some of the biggest in the country. And what's more, this year everyone who submits a nomination will be automatically put into a free prize draw to win a place on the Students’ Union trip to Amsterdam in April.
This year we’ve decided to use no set categories, with all awards being decided once the nominations have been received – judged by a panel of Course Reps, Students’ Union Officers and University staff. Which means it’s over to you: who do you want to say thank you to, and why?
